176th Street East-Tacoma Rail Over-crossing

Franklin Pacific was a subcontractor in 2011 to Goodfellow Brothers Inc for the construction of a new bridge spanning the Tacoma Rail in Frederickson WA. The bridge is an 81 foot wide by 76 foot long span. The substructure consists of 34 foot tall abutment walls founded on large 4 foot thick spread footings with structural earth wall wings. The superstructure is comprised of (16) W35DG deck girders with an asphalt surfacing overlay. All (16) girders were set in one day while the Tacoma Rail was closed to traffic. The value of the bridge work was approximately $1.3 Million.
