SR501 Ridgefield Interchange

Franklin Pacific was a subcontractor in 2010 to Tapani Underground for the construction of a 260 foot two span bridge over I5 in Ridgefield Washington for WSDOT.  The bridge is part of a $28 million project to upgrade the SR501 and I5 interchange.  The substructure work includes 6 foot and 4 foot diameter drilled shaft foundations, 4 foot diameter bent columns which support 6 foot by 5 foot by 103 foot cap beams. The bridge superstructure is composed of two 100 foot wide by 133 foot spans which consist of 28 precast girders, a 7.5 inch cast in place deck and fractured fin finished bridge rail.  The value of the bridge work is approximately $2.5 million.
