223rd Undercrossing – Bridge Street to Sandy

Franklin Pacific was a subcontractor in summer of 2009 for the construction of a new steel bridge for the Union Pacific Railroad in Troutdale, Oregon for Multnomah County. The new bridge is part of a $5 million project to widen 223rd Avenue where it crosses below the UPRR tracks. Various utilities will also be upgraded along 223rd Avenue. The bridge consists of a 70 foot span fully welded steel plate girder bridge, founded on 14 drilled shaft concrete piers and crossbeams. In addition to the bridge work Franklin Pacific is constructing approximately 750 lineal feet of cast in place concrete gravity, soldier pile, and cantilever retaining walls. The total value of the bridge and retaining wall work is approximately $1,000,000.00.
